We generally measure conversions for each LinkedIn member who takes an action on your ad. However, to protect member privacy and evolve with industry-wide privacy changes, we are evolving the way we measure conversions.
Using modeled conversions to measure conversions for LinkedIn Ads
Last updated: 11 months agoTo capture as many conversions as possible, we increasingly use machine learning to estimate conversions in place of using third-party individual-level data. We combine member engagement data with technologies such as machine learning to predict conversions in instances where a conversion is no longer observable due to industry-wide privacy change or member setting selections. In instances where first-party individual-level data is available, we measure conversions deterministically. Deterministic means we can make an exact match between a conversion and an ad campaign at the member-level.
Modeled conversions are included in your reporting, and are reported in the same dimensions and metrics as other conversions.
