Base pay range
$35.00/hr - $40.00/hr
This position is a 2-year contract with a strong possibility of conversion based on performance and budget availability. The hiring process includes one round of interviews with the host manager and her supervisor.
Location and Hours
This role requires working onsite five days a week at the Metro Location. The working hours are from 6:30/7 AM PST to 3:30/4 PM PST.
Role and Responsibilities
The team is part of the District Office, supporting distribution for operations involving front-line employees, first responders, construction, engineers/compliance, and inspectors. The team is composed of half union and half internal members.
Timekeeping and administrative support for a department or individual.
Tasks include word processing, filing, faxing, answering phones, receiving and directing visitors, scheduling, financial record-keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, and sorting/distributing mail.
Potential involvement in special projects.
Requirements
High school diploma required.
Experience in any industry is acceptable.
Detail-oriented, especially for data entry tasks, as this role involves significant data entry work.
Familiarity with MS Office is required.
Previous experience as a timekeeper or administrative assistant with timekeeping/bookkeeping responsibilities is preferred.
Additional Information
The candidate will be trained by existing full-time employees and the contractor who is leaving.
Manager will provide necessary equipment.
This is a purely administrative role; candidates with a background in accounting or financial analysis are not being sought.
