Avery's House provides behavioral health services to teens across the valley. As part of our clinical team, you'll be instrumental in supporting our residential program and helping clients achieve wellness. Adolescent Therapist Qualifications
Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE. (required)
Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field. (required)
One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients. (required)
Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.
Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity.
Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, common side effects, and adverse reactions.
Adolescent Therapist Expectations
Provide direct support services, including individual and group therapy.
Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans.
Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management.
Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients.
Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).

Required on call rotation once every 5 weeks
