Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for driving event sales for mid-week buyout and semi-private events, mid-week private dining events, and weekend social buyout events within the property. A primary focus will be placed on meeting department quotas through effective outreach and relationship building within social and corporate markets.

This role is based in-office and requires on-site attendance five days per week.


Compensation

  • Base salary of $100,000, plus commission


Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Identify and analyze client preferences to research, prospect, and direct sales efforts for new business across mid-week buyout and semi-private events, mid-week private dining, and weekend social events
  • Consult with potential clients to understand their needs; manage leads, site visits, and client meetings for all assigned event types
  • Build and maintain client relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, and video outreach to drive upselling and long-term partnerships
  • Develop, generate, and manage proposals, contracts, and related materials to maximize sales potential and secure business effectively
  • Consistently achieve sales quotas while maximizing profitability for the business
  • Partner closely with the Director of Sales to develop and execute strategic sales and outreach plans
  • Proactively solicit new business and think creatively to increase and sustain event sales across the property
  • Schedule and conduct client entertainment meetings on a weekly basis


Financial Support

  • Achieve annual sales goals set by leadership
  • Monitor event profitability to ensure alignment with company standards and budgets
  • Ensure all deposits, payments, and invoicing adhere to company policies and procedures


Operational & Administrative Support

  • Participate in meetings with management and ownership
  • Generate floor plans using preferred software platforms to ensure clear client expectations
  • Assist with client gifting initiatives
  • Attend and engage in industry, community, and business networking events
  • Maintain clear, timely communication across all departments
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with management, associates, vendors, and partners


Service

  • Uphold and enforce all Standards of Service
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences; resolve client concerns and operational challenges as needed
  • Support and participate in events, offering recommendations for continuous improvement
