This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a well-rounded hospitality professional who is equally comfortable engaging with members on the floor, supporting the F&B team during service, working with vendors and facilities, and reviewing the month-end expense report. The AGM acts as the GM's right hand and as senior leadership on property in the GM's absence.

  • Maintain a visible presence during service periods and key events
  • Support menu planning, event execution, and service standards as needed

Vendor and Contract Management

  • Manage relationships with the club's vendors and service providers
  • Review contracts, monitor service quality, and negotiate terms
  • Coordinate procurement across departments

Administration and Finance

  • Oversee operational administration including payroll coordination, accounts payable, and expense management
  • Track departmental budgets and assist the GM with financial reporting
  • Maintain operational policies, procedures, and documentation

Member Relations and Leadership

  • Engage regularly with members to build relationships and gather feedback
  • Partner with department heads to ensure cohesive, high-quality service across the club
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of staff
  • Serve as senior leadership on property in the GM's absence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive management experience in hospitality, with private club, hotel, or resort experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple operational areas (F&B, facilities, vendor management, or administration)
  • Working knowledge of club or hospitality financial operations, including payroll and expense management
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and hospitality or property management systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desired Attributes

  • A polished, professional presence appropriate to a private members environment
  • Calm and resourceful under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Collaborative, with a genuine service orientation
  • Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk the property for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require
