The Assistant Quality Manager supports the execution of quality assurance initiatives to ensure products meet Four Hands’ standards for craftsmanship, safety, and customer experience. This role partners cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, and global teams to reduce defects, improve processes, and drive a consistent, scalable quality culture.
In This Role
Support the Quality Manager in leading day-to-day quality operations, including team oversight, performance support, and execution of departmental priorities
Provide coaching and development support to Quality team members, reinforcing technical capabilities, accountability, and alignment with company standards
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment by promoting clear communication, engagement, and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, Distribution Centers, and Sales to support quality standards, resolve issues, and drive improvement initiatives
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, including inspection standards, testing requirements, and compliance with internal and external regulations
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address defects, reduce waste, and improve product quality
Contribute to quality-related projects using structured problem-solving and project management approaches
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, providing insights to support data-driven decision-making
Maintain accurate quality documentation and support reporting tools and dashboards to improve organizational visibility
Identify and escalate quality risks that may impact product performance, customer experience, or brand reputation
Support audit activities, compliance reporting, and documentation as required

The Ideal Person
5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field
Experience with quality assurance, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across products and supply chains
Working knowledge of quality methodologies, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA)
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, and Sales teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using quality metrics, KPIs, and trend analysis to drive decisions
Experience identifying and mitigating quality or compliance risks in support of customer experience and brand standards
Ability to support team development through coaching, training, or knowledge sharing
Effective communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience coordinating projects or initiatives in a cross-functional or matrixed environment
Preferred
Experience in furniture, consumer goods, manufacturing, or related industries
Familiarity with global supply chains and overseas vendors
Experience with quality management systems (QMS), inspection tools, or audit frameworks
Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training or certification
