The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor Positions in Computer Science (CS), with a research focus on Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, beginning Fall 2026.
We are seeking scholars who demonstrate a strong record of high-quality research and a commitment to excellence in teaching. The department values interdisciplinary research and encourages research that bridges disciplines. We also welcome candidates with industry or government experience, recognizing the importance of real-world applications in research.
Job Requirements
Applicants must hold a doctorate in CS or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to establish an active research program, and a strong commitment to student success and to UTEP's Access to Excellent Higher Education mission.
