We are seeking an Assisted Dental Hygienist that shares our passion for patient care and education, and who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based care model. This role works in a dual-provider hygiene model alongside a dedicated hygiene assistant to increase access to care, improve efficiency, and elevate the patient experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive periodontal care in accordance with all state dental board requirements
Partner with a dedicated hygiene assistant to delegate non-clinical and preparatory tasks, maximizing chairside efficiency and patient access
Maintain an efficient schedule that supports increased patient volume without compromising quality of care
Educate patients on periodontal health, disease prevention, and the connection between oral health and overall systemic health
Collaborate with the Dentist and care team on periodontal charting, treatment planning, and follow-up to support optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
Dental hygiene licensure compliant with the State Dental Board with no adverse actions
Experience working in a fast-paced or assisted/expanded hygiene model preferred, but not required
Strong communication skills with both patients and team members
Ability to lead chairside care while working collaboratively with a hygiene assistant
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and dental software; experience with Dentrix preferred
