About the Opportunity
A rapidly scaling, venture-backed technology company at the forefront of identity, fraud prevention, and risk intelligence is seeking an Associate Counsel to join its growing legal team.
This is a great opportunity to join the legal function, working directly with senior leadership at a business trusted by major financial institutions, fintech platforms, and enterprise clients nationwide.

The Role
This position will play a key role in supporting a broad range of legal initiatives across commercial, product, and regulatory matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements
- Advising internal stakeholders on product, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Supporting legal operations for a fast-moving technology business
- Partnering cross-functionally with commercial, product, and executive teams
- Helping build scalable legal infrastructure as the company continues its rapid growth
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years post-JD legal experience and consistency in their current role.
Strong background in:
- Commercial contracts
- Tech transactions
- Product counseling
- Regulatory advisory
- Corporate / M&A / ECVC with relevant regulatory exposure
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active U.S. state admission in good standing
Core Skills:
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation capabilities
- Strong redlining and contract management experience
- Commercially minded and business-oriented
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance legal workflows
- Highly motivated, accountable, and growth-oriented
Location
- Austin, Texas
- Those who are willing to be in the office more often than not are preferred.
Compensation
- Base salary: $130,000 - $180,000
- Meaningful equity package
