Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager based in South Florida to grow our East Coast wholesale business. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, opening new accounts, expanding existing partnerships, and representing the Art of Tea brand with excellence.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional with experience in hospitality, food service, CPG, or luxury goods, who thrives in building programs with hotels, cafés, restaurants, and premium retail partners.

This is a hands-on sales role someone who loves being in the field, meeting operators, telling our story, and creating long-term value for partners.


Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Sales
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy for the East Coast market
  • Prospect, pitch, and close new B2B accounts across hospitality, cafés, restaurants, luxury resorts, and retail
  • Lead in-person meetings, tastings, presentations, and product education
  • Deeply understand each client’s needs and build tailored tea programs that elevate their guest experience


Account Growth & Relationship Management
  • Strengthen and expand existing accounts through consistent communication and relationship-building
  • Ensure clients have the SKUs, education, and support needed to thrive
  • Maintain high satisfaction by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly


Market Awareness
  • Track hospitality and food service trends, competitor offerings, and regional opportunities
  • Identify emerging concepts and new markets that align with Art of Tea’s mission

  • Collaboration & Internal Alignment
    • Work closely with the Sales, Operations, Product, and Creative teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success
    • Provide ongoing feedback from the field to help shape strategy and product innovation


    Performance & Reporting
    • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
    • Use CRM tools (HubSpot) to track pipelines, forecasting, activity, and revenue
    • Maintain organized and accurate reporting for internal visibility


    Requirements
    • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in hospitality, CPG, food service, or related industries
    • Proven success in a quota-carrying role opening and growing accounts
    • Strong network or understanding of East Coast hospitality market is a plus
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously
    • Willingness to be in the field regularly (travel up the East Coast as needed)
    • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
