Workday Business Analyst (HRIS)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Workday Business Analyst (HRIS) to serve as liaison between HR stakeholders and our technical delivery teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings strong executive presence, and can confidently translate complex business needs into actionable requirements that drive real outcomes.You will lead discovery efforts, define current and future-state processes, and convert evolving HR requirements into clear user stories that enable agile delivery. Acting as the day-to-day liaison between HR users, Product Owners, and engineers, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Workday solutions align with business objectives while maintaining momentum across sprint cycles.
What You’ll Do
Lead stakeholder discovery sessions to uncover business needs and pain points
Extract clear requirements from ambiguous or evolving inputs
Document current-state and future-state HR processes
Produce high-quality functional requirements and translate them into detailed user stories
Maintain Jira tickets and ensure stories are sprint-ready
Partner closely with HR users, Product Owners, and technical teams as the primary day-to-day liaison
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing efforts
Facilitate meetings, drive alignment, and confidently challenge stakeholders when needed
Ensure requirements are accurately understood and implemented within Workday
What You Bring
Proven HR domain experience, ideally within a Workday environment
Strong executive presence with the confidence to lead discussions and influence outcomes
Comfort navigating ambiguity and pushing for clarity
Technically fluent enough to understand Workday configuration concepts and translate requirements accurately
Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to command a room
Collaborative mindset with a delivery-oriented approach
Personality and presence that build trust across business and technical teams
