Job Title: Mainframe COBOL Programmer

Duration: 9 Months (Extension Possible)

Location: 100% Remote

Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced Mainframe COBOL Programmer to support enterprise Medicaid systems in a large government environment. This role involves application enhancements, production support, testing, and collaboration with development and QA teams within MMIS/MEDS platforms.

Candidates with prior government client experience and Medicaid claims processing exposure are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify COBOL and ADS programs in a mainframe environment
• Work with IDMS databases, and JCL
• Perform debugging, unit testing, and integration testing
• Support QA, UAT, and production activities
• Collaborate with technical, operational, and QA teams
• Participate in rotational on-call support

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of Mainframe experience, MVS COBOL, JCL
• 7+ years with CA-ADS
• 5+ years with Changeman, CICS, and VSAM
• Experience supporting government clients and Medicaid environments preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Medicaid or Medicare claims processing
• SAS, MQ, File-Aid, Endevor, Xpeditor
