YOUR ROLE AT ZEGNA
As Director, Marketing & Events, based in New York, you will bring your vision and leadership to the Marketing & Brand Events team, shaping the strategy and execution of ZEGNA’s client-facing events across North America (US & Canada).
You will work independently and collaboratively with global HQ departments to oversee end-to-end execution of high-impact luxury experiences that elevate brand equity, drive client engagement, and generate business results. Additionally, you will manage all facets of regional and partner marketing to increase brand awareness and client engagement.
Reporting directly to the VP, Client Engagement, Brand Events & Su Misura, Americas, you will be responsible for building scalable frameworks for planning, briefing, executing, and recapping all regional events while ensuring alignment with global brand strategy and commercial objectives.

YOUR ROLE AT ZEGNA
As Director, Marketing & Events, based in New York, you will bring your vision and leadership to the Marketing & Brand Events team, shaping the strategy and execution of ZEGNA’s client-facing events across North America (US & Canada).

Events
- Lead the full lifecycle of client-facing and brand-building events, from brief creation and timeline development through to on-site execution and post-event closure
- Develop strategic event frameworks that support revenue generation, client acquisition, brand discovery, and retail activation across all channels (retail, wholesale, omnichannel)
- Independently build project plans and timelines for each initiative, managing stakeholders, deliverables, and resources across functions and regions
- Serve as the key decision-maker for all event planning and vendor partnerships, managing high-end luxury resources and negotiating with best-in-class external partners
- Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships with global marketing, creative, and press teams to ensure brand consistency and asset alignment
- Partner locally with Retail, Merchandising, Made to Measure, and Clienteling teams to ensure events reflect business needs and client strategy
- Lead all creative ideation, budgeting, production, vendor sourcing, and agency management, overseeing operational logistics and critical path
- Own and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maximizing impact, and contribute to forecast planning and revenue reporting
- Establish KPIs and evaluate event ROI, tracking performance metrics and qualitative feedback to continuously optimize programming
- Draft all communications related to events, including briefs, written summaries, client invitations, and event recaps, demonstrating a strong command of tone and brand voice
- Oversee contractors as required; provide mentorship, structure, and accountability
- Provide on-site leadership at events
- Work closely with HQ to support global initiatives as needed, including all facets of itinerary planning surrounding client travel for global fashion shows and brand experiences, seating coordination and event support for fashion shows and other key global brand moments.
- Ensure compliance with ZEGNA’s internal control framework (ICFR) by documenting and executing controls related to the role’s scope
- Partner with HQ to plan regional marketing strategy, incorporating insights and innovative ideas and ensuring alignment with global brand priorities.
- Establish strong partnerships with cross-functional teams (Retail, CRM, Visual Merchandising, Finance, etc.) to align on plans and execution.
- Build and manage mall partnerships to maximize brand visibility and awareness through marketing platforms.
- Lead regional retail marketing activations, including key local brand moments (e.g., trunk shows, local brand events, pop-ups/pop-ins).
- Allocate and manage budgets across marketing lines.
- Support HQ during key brand moments, such as fashion shows.
- Plan and manage lease-required and co-op advertising.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the Marketing & Events Manager, ensuring clarity of goals, expectations, and performance standards.

- You bring 7+ years of experience in luxury event management, with a proven record of success leading complex, high-end client activations
- You’re skilled in budgeting, project management, luxury vendor sourcing, and working independently with global stakeholders
- You’re known for being highly organized and proactive, with excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- You thrive when owning a project end-to-end — from vision to final invoice — and excel in fast-paced, high-touch environments
- You are confident navigating both internal corporate teams and external luxury clients and partners
- You are a seasoned international traveler, available to be on-site to support regional teams and accompany client trips
- The pay range for this position is $160,000-$170,000 annually and is dependent on a candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
