JOB PURPOSE:

The Director, National Accounts provides leadership in the business development area and is responsible for setting and implementing sales targets that appropriately tie in with the Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods’ goals. This role promotes sales growth and is responsible for the timely and equitable assignment of account responsibility and sales targets. The salary range for this role is 160-180k (DOE)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and analyze both existing customers and prospective customers to identify potential needs and develop plans and strategies to offer or expand product offerings.
  • Actively promotes customer satisfaction through activities such as anticipating the customers’ needs, overseeing inspection of products returned by customers, resolving or acting as a point of escalation in the resolution of customer problems, managing ongoing customer relationships.
  • Responsible for achievement of individual annual sales goals and development of new business.
  • Prepare Sales contracts
  • Support SVP, Sales & Marketing with identification of opportunities for process improvement. Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the channel.
  • Ensure sales reports and other internal intelligence are provided to the Sales organization. Contribute to the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Gather information on competitive pricing and analyze general market information for use in expanding business.
  • Supports achievement of company financial goals by overseeing timely collection of outstanding accounts receivables for assigned channel.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to brainstorm and develop sales strategies and plans.
  • Be fully involved in the company planning and participation of trade shows and food shows.
  • Present senior management with trends, creative ideas, and possible incentives that may help promote the company, its products, and philosophies in the marketplace.
  • Primary customer focus will be but not limited to Technomic’s top 250 accounts
  • Secondary customer focus will be other designated emerging or multi unit accounts as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge and experience in business analysis, forecasting and P& L management.
  • Product knowledge and solid understanding of industry regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Superior customer service skills, with the ability to effectively handle customer complaints in a timely manner, always maintaining courtesy and professionalism.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly skilled in preparing and delivering reports and presentations
  • Must possess a high level of initiative, be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to sell, persuade and negotiate.
  • Goal-oriented, accountable and ability to be held accountable for commitments.
  • Follow directions of management and comply with Company policies.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to work with technical documents and contracts, and to keep accurate and complete records.
  • Manage and maintain current customer base.
  • Create and develop new business opportunities with customers.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or Related Field; MBA Business Administration
  • At least five years’ experience working with National Accounts within a Sales capacity.Seafood experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and experience in business analysis, forecasting and P& L management.
  • Must possess strategy development, project management, problem-solving and change management skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Good computer knowledge: internet, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
