Metric Bio is partnered with a highly specialized pharmaceutical CDMO supporting biotech and pharmaceutical innovators with advanced formulation development, oral solid dosage development, and manufacturing services.

They are seeking a Business Development Director to drive new business growth across small, mid-size, and large pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

Business Development Director – Responsibilities:

• Drive new business development across formulation development, oral solid dosage programs, and drug product manufacturing services
• Identify, target, and secure new clients across biotech and pharmaceutical organizations
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to generate and expand pipeline opportunities
• Build and leverage an existing life sciences network to open doors and win new business
• Lead the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
• Collaborate with technical, project management, and leadership teams to align client needs with service capabilities
• Maintain a strong market presence and stay closely aligned with industry trends and client demands

Business Development Director – Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in business development or strategic sales within the pharmaceutical CDMO sector
• Strong understanding of formulation development, oral solid dosage, and drug product manufacturing services
• Proven track record of generating new business and closing complex deals
• Experience selling into small biotech through large pharmaceutical organizations
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
• Ability to leverage an existing life sciences network to drive new opportunities
