Director of Global Manufacturing

Director of Global Manufacturing needed for Complex Manufacturer.

One of our growing manufacturing clients is looking to bring on an experienced operations leader to drive its assembly, manufacturing, and logistics functions. This person will serve as a transformational leader by building the operational infrastructure needed to scale the business to its next stage of growth.

Qualifications for the Director of Global Manufacturing include:

• Extensive leadership experience in high-tech, precision manufacturing (electronics, aviation, sensors)
• Strong expertise in SMOP, demand planning, supply chain coordination, supplier cost control, and end-to-end inventory management
• Proven ability to scale and optimize low-volume, high-mix operations using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making
• Hands-on oversight of final assembly, testing, and repair processes, ensuring products meet quality standards and ship on time
• Solid financial acumen, cross-functional leadership skills, and commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence

Responsibilities for the Director of Global Manufacturing Include:

• Direct end-to-end manufacturing operations across both external partners and internal teams, covering planning, production, logistics, and delivery
• Manage global contract manufacturers, including negotiations, performance oversight, and ensuring adherence to strict quality and technical standards
• Lead demand planning and S&OP processes to balance forecasts, production, and inventory in a high-mix, low-volume environment
• Oversee final assembly, calibration, and global distribution, ensuring products meet precision standards and reach customers on time
• Drive new product launches, quality systems, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles
