The Director of Luxury Leisure Sales West, based in Los Angels, is responsible for driving high-value leisure revenue through strategic partnerships with luxury travel consortia and top-producing advisors across the West Coast and Southwest.
This role acts as the primary ambassador for Atlantis (The Cove, The Reef, and The Royal) in one of the most influential luxury travel markets globally, cultivating relationships with high-performing travel advisors and key networks such as Virtuoso, Signature, Internova, and Ensemble, while positioning Atlantis as a premier luxury destination for high-net-worth travelers, socialites, sports, and celebrity clientele.
The position plays a central role in expanding market share, increasing brand preference, and maximizing ROI across consortia partnerships while executing targeted sales, marketing, and relationship strategies that deliver incremental high-value leisure business.
Key Responsibilities
Consortia & Account Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison for all luxury consortia and preferred partner accounts across Los Angeles and the broader West Coast
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key agency owners, advisors, and consortia leadership
- Develop annual account plans outlining revenue goals, marketing initiatives, and engagement strategy
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive incremental luxury leisure revenue through targeted sales initiatives, social events, and preferred partner programs
- Identify new business opportunities within high-performing agencies and emerging luxury travel networks
- Analyze account production, booking trends, and market share to optimize sales strategy
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with Atlantis’ overall leisure and luxury strategy
- Conduct regular in-market sales calls, client events, and roadshows throughout the Los Angelas area and key West Coast cities
- Represent Atlantis at major trade events, consortia conferences, and luxury travel shows
- Leverage Los Angeles’ entertainment and influencer ecosystem to drive brand awareness and drive high-value revenue
Marketing & Consortia Program Optimization
- Ensure full participation and visibility across consortia platforms, marketing channels, and campaigns
- Lead RFP responses, preferred partner negotiations, and amenity strategy to enhance competitiveness
- Collaborate with marketing teams on targeted campaigns for affluent, celebrity, sports, and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) travelers
Advisor Engagement & Training
- Organize and host FAM trips, site inspections, and VIP educational experiences on property
- Plan and execute in market advisor entertainment including cocktail hours and dinners
- Deliver ongoing product training and updates to travel advisors and agency partners
- Act as a brand ambassador and storyteller, ensuring consistent luxury positioning across all touchpoints
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with Revenue Management to maintain rate integrity and optimize yield strategies
- Work closely with on-property teams to ensure seamless delivery of consortia benefits and VIP experiences
- Provide regular reporting on performance, ROI, and market insights
- Act as a strategic voice for West Coast trends and customer expectations
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-8+ years of luxury hotel/resort sales, consortia, or travel trade experience
- Strong existing network within Los Angeles and West Coast luxury travel advisor community
- Proven track record of driving revenue through consortia and preferred partnerships
- Deep understanding of luxury distribution channels and high-net-worth traveler expectations
- Experience working with entertainment, VIP, or UHNW clientele preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for executive presentations, and Word for professional documentation. LMS experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
