Equity Trader

Sierra Staffing Group is seeking an Equity Trader for a well established and reputable Small Family Office Wealth Management company in the Reno, NV Area. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable organization that is moving from California and seeking a talented professional to join their team.

The Trader will oversee all aspects of order flow, including trade execution, developing rules-based trading systems and developing automated trade blotters. Build and maintain relationships with brokers to support ongoing block flow, access to IPO and secondary offerings, access to short sale inventory, access to analyst research and bond trading contacts. Maintain current information about short names of interest and current positions, as far as borrow rates and availability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage position builds and exits via REDI, Tradeweb and broker contacts
• Develop relationships with brokers to support access to deal flow (block trades, IPOs, secondary's, bond trades)
• Direct new business order flow to gain access to analyst research and maintain a wide web of

relationships among various brokers

• Build and maintain a repository of current statistics for short inventory names (existing and names of interest) including rebates, availability and rebate trend
• Work with systems developer to build rule-based trading automation
• Enable spreadsheet-based trading via trade blotter uploads into REDI
• Monitor news flow for existing positions and summarize daily for the general partner
• Construct watchlists for names of interest, monitor for price movement and news flow
