Job Responsibilities
Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise
Follow maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed as required
Perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations as directed
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as required
Maintain an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organized
Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignments
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completion
Ensure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work orders
May recommend cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safety
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Perform other related tasks or special duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school or trade school diploma; prefer license in specific specialty with a minimum of 0+ years of experience
Exposure to construction such as electrical, plumbing, woodwork, etc.
Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures
Moderate knowledge of building maintenance
Good oral and written communication skills
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The salary range for this position is $21.44/hour-$30.65/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
