General Manager

Our client, a globally recognized and stable leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a strong General Manager to oversee their operation in Valdosta, Georgia. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced manufacturing executive who is ready to take full ownership of a facility’s performance, lead a talented leadership team, and help guide a growing organization into its next phase.

What You Will Be Doing

• Own the business: Take full P&L responsibility for the facility, driving revenue, profitability, cost control, and overall business performance.
• Lead the operation: Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing facility, including operations, quality, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and people.
• Build high-performing teams: Lead and develop key functional managers while establishing clear goals, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive growth and innovation: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, leverage automation, implement lean manufacturing principles, and invest in new technology.
• Partner with customers: Build strong customer and supplier relationships while ensuring exceptional quality, delivery, and service.
• Shape the future: Evaluate and make strategic decisions around capital investments, infrastructure, equipment, and talent.
• Develop the organization: Lead hiring, talent development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
• Set the vision: Communicate the facility’s strategy, goals, and results while creating alignment across the organization.
• Represent the company: Serve as a key representative within the local business and community.

What We Need From You

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across a manufacturing operation.
• Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and budgetary controls.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing cross-functional teams.
• Extensive experience with lean manufacturing and automation.
• Automotive and/or battery manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong business acumen, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
