Global Supply Chain Director Located: just outside of Minneapolis, MN or outside of Charlotte, NC (whichever location you're closer to) Pay: $145k-$165k base + 15% bonus Reports To: Global Vice President
Position Overview The Global Supply Chain Director will oversee and enhance the entire supply chain operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in delivering products to customers worldwide. This role will focus on optimizing processes, managing global teams, and implementing innovative supply chain strategies to support business growth, particularly in the food processing sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Oversee the procurement process, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency in sourcing materials.
Lead and manage global supply chain teams, fostering collaboration and communication across regions.
Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Implement ERP systems to streamline operations and improve data accuracy across the supply chain.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely production and distribution of products.
Drive Lean initiatives to reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.
Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on global operations.
Proven experience in procurement and purchasing within the food processing industry.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain software.
Experience leading global teams and managing cross-functional projects.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
