About the Role

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of Human Resources based in either the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. The Director of Human Resources will play a critical role in scaling Hadron Energy’s people operations and organizational infrastructure. You will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across engineering, licensing, operations, manufacturing, finance, and business development to support recruiting, employee development, compensation planning, onboarding, compliance, and organizational growth initiatives. The role is ideal for a highly organized and execution-oriented HR leader who is passionate about building high-performing technical teams within a fast-paced environment. The position will help establish the foundational HR systems, policies, and operational processes necessary to support a rapidly scaling advanced nuclear technology company and public-company environment.


Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting, employee development, compensation planning, onboarding, compliance, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Establish foundational HR systems, policies, and operational processes.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, people operations, or organizational development.


Required Skills

  • Experience supporting high-growth engineering, manufacturing, energy, aerospace, defense, or technology organizations.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting operations, employee relations, compensation planning, onboarding, and HR compliance.
  • Experience building scalable HR systems, policies, and organizational processes.
  • Familiarity with employment law, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
  • Experience recruiting highly technical talent across engineering and operational disciplines.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving startup environment.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and cross-functional technical teams.


Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with equity compensation, startup scaling, or public-company readiness is a plus.
  • Experience within nuclear energy, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Passion for clean energy and a startup-minded approach to problem-solving.
