Intake Specialist - Outpatient Scheduler - PRN Days | Westover Hills Rehab

We are looking for a PRN Intake Specialist - Outpatient to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director or Admissions Director/Manager, supports the outpatient therapy centers by accepting all referrals for treatment, by verifying insurance benefits, and by facilitating authorization for treatment, and by scheduling the initial visit for evaluation. May relieve intake specialists in the clinics, when requested. Performs other related tasks as assigned. This in a non-exempt position.

Education and Training: Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, some college (secretarial) is preferred. Strong medical terminology is required.

Experience: At least one year previous healthcare office or registration function preferred.
