THE ROLE

The Manager of Supply Chain Logistics is a key member of our Commercial team — responsible for ensuring the smooth, reliable, and resilient flow of ingredients and products across our supplier and distribution network. This role partners closely with the Director of Supply Chain & Product Sourcing to manage day‑to‑day logistics performance, monitor KPIs, and safeguard product availability for our restaurants.

You will be the connective tissue between suppliers, distributors, and restaurant teams — anticipating risks, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring our restaurants have what they need to deliver 14 Brilliant Shifts. You’ll bring structure, discipline, and clarity to our logistics processes, while strengthening relationships with Patraos and cross‑functional partners.

As with all members of the Nando’s Restaurant Support team, the Manager of Supply Chain Logistics is expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando’s better every day, and be a values‑led teammate who lifts others through clarity, care, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Product Management

  • Monitor the movement of ingredients from source to site to ensure consistent product flow to restaurants.
  • Anticipate, plan, and communicate proactively to prevent vendor or distribution challenges from impacting operations or the guest experience.
  • Execute recovery protocols when restaurant supply is at risk.
  • Monitor and optimize freight lanes, logistics performance, and distribution efficiency.
  • Lead setup processes and documentation for new products, suppliers, and sites.
  • Maintain a structured, centralized digital repository for all supply chain documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and version control.
  • Pull KPIs and reporting to support decision‑making across the Commercial and Operations teams.

Collaboration & Support

  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with Patraos and multi‑unit operators.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Culinary, Marketing, Training, Commercial) to ensure alignment and readiness for key initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on logistics processes that move products from field to fork.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve logistics, communication, and operational reliability.
  • Support seamless integration of new products into restaurant operations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively address challenges to maintain consistency and reliability across the supply chain.

Food Safety & Quality Compliance

  • Maintain the Food Allergen database and manage related vendor relationships.
  • Compile and report QA product audit results, escalating failures as needed.
  • Maintain documentation for critical food safety systems, including SQF certifications, third‑party audits, and Points of Inspection (POI).
  • Support compliance with FSMA, GFSI, and industry best practices.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

Work Location - This role is based in Washington, D.C. and includes full-time presence at our Restaurant Support Office. You are expected to travel as needed for business purposes, which may occasionally include weekends and special events. All business travel must comply with our company’s travel policies. Eligible business-related expenses, including airfare, lodging, car rental, parking, and meals, will be reimbursed upon submission of a properly completed and timely expense report, subject to approval. Additionally, you are required to maintain all necessary travel documents in good standing throughout your employment.

Travel is expected to be up to 10% across North America.

Typical Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain logistics, ideally with perishables.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor, freight, and distribution management.
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems and data analytics tools to support performance measurement and decision‑making.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, GMPs, FSMA requirements, and GFSI programs preferred.
  • Commitment to supporting operations and front‑line teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship‑building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi‑city distribution networks with custom ingredients (strongly preferred).

PAY

Salary Range is $89,000- $120,000 and dependent on candidate's experience.
