Materials Supervisor

CES/AWS is looking for a Materials Cycle Supervisor for our automotive manufacturing client

Location: Kansas City, KS

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site |Direct Hire

Compensation: $70k-$80k/y + % annual bonus.

We are hiring a Materials Cycle Supervisor for an automotive manufacturing client. This role is responsible for supervising cycle counts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting material flow in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Material Coordinators and daily cycle count activities
• Maintain and execute cycle count schedules
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Support inventory changes, launches, and part transitions
• Assign and monitor counts for high-priority materials
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper documentation
• Support continuous improvement and special projects
• Communicate with customers and internal teams as needed
• Follow quality and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field required
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Automotive supplier experience strongly preferred
• Background in traffic and logistics operations
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Trans4M or similar preferred)
• Familiarity with GM ISP / JIT systems is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Occasional travel (up to 5%)
• Valid driver’s license required
