Ability to setup and work on scaffolds and ladders at various heights.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform assigned tasks professionally and promptly.
Cooperate and assist other trades as needed.
Understand and apply written and oral instructions.
Complete tasks with the proper written records and documentation as requested by the department.
Maintain quality standards as set by the district.
Adhere to safety standards in all areas.
Attend training sessions as assigned.
Trouble shoot and repair lockers based on style and manufacturer of locker.
Perform preventative maintenance on lockers.
Accurately estimate materials lists for jobs.
Order locker parts from vendors.
Set up, use, and calculate with a leveling instrument.
Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance is an essential job function.
Perform other duties as assigned by the foremen, other supervisors and/or the Director of Maintenance.
METALS I
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirements.
Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
Minimum of four (4) years skilled trade experience required.
Excellent welding and fabricating skills.
Excellent working knowledge of different manufactured locker systems.
Able to teach accrued knowledge and skills to fellow employees in a professional manner.
Ability to repair and maintain bleachers, basketball goals, air compressors and dust collector systems.

Stick
Mig
Tig
Flux Core
Brazing
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$19.50/HS8

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform all responsibilities of Metals II.
Weld with aluminum, galvanized, stainless steel and carbon steel.
Estimate jobs and make detailed drawings.
Inspect jobs performed by outside contractors on warranty repairs.
Repair, maintain, and document maintenance of:
Bleachers
Roll up gates
Dust collectors
Air compressors
Basketball goals and backboards
Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance is an essential job function.
Perform other duties as assigned by the foremen, other supervisors and/or the Director of Maintenance.
