Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.
The Creator Policy Experience team oversees and manages critical escalations and creator programs across all YouTube product areas with the aim to make the platform a trusted, fair and safe place for our users.
As a Policy Escalation Specialist, you will work across Trust and Safety and YouTube to ensure that we handle cross-policy reviews with accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. You will provide end-to-end management of critical policy reviews and escalations, creating a pathway to resolution and communicating with key stakeholders as well as our executive team. You will review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, SQL, and data analytics.
- Experience with quality and training processes.
- Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and grow in a rapidly changing environment.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage complex, sensitive policy reviews and escalations across all community guidelines policies within tight timelines.
- Identify trends and insights within policy reviews and escalations to drive projects that enhance operational efficiency, service design, and elevate the overall creator policy experience.
- Conduct data analysis to provide insights around creator experience with policies and services offered by the team, and inform strategic decisions (including with executive leadership).
- Partner with vendor operations teams to design, deliver, and manage Extended Workforce (XWF) content review operations.
