We are seeking a highly analytical, proactive Purchasing Manager to own purchasing strategy, demand planning, and supply chain execution for our Hair Division. This role is critical to ensuring accurate forecasting, disciplined buying behaviors, and seamless supplier coordination across finished goods, packaging, and raw materials.
You will serve as the connective tissue between sales, marketing, operations, and manufacturing—translating demand signals into actionable purchasing plans that protect service levels, optimize inventory, and support profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
Own rolling demand forecasts across SKUs, channels, and product lifecycles using historical data, trends, and forward-looking inputs
Capture and model buying behaviors, seasonality, promotions, launches, and velocity shifts
Partner cross-functionally to align forecasts with sales plans, marketing calendars, and growth targets
Purchasing & Inventory Management
Translate demand plans into purchase orders that support an “always in stock” service level
Manage reorder points, safety stock, MOQ constraints, and lead times to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
Monitor inventory health (turns, aging, slow movers) and proactively course-correct
Supply Chain & Vendor Management
Maintain and optimize supplier lead times, reliability, and capacity
Collaborate with vendors to forecast production needs and mitigate supply risk
Support contract negotiations, cost controls, and continuous improvement initiatives
Data, Systems & Process Excellence
Ensure accuracy of item masters, lead times, MOQ data, and purchasing parameters within ERP systems
Build and maintain clear purchasing dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility
Improve forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment processes as the business scales

Reduced emergency buys and expedited freight
Inventory levels aligned to demand and cash flow goals
Clear, reliable demand plans that the business trusts
Strong supplier partnerships and predictable lead times
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or demand planning
Proven success managing inventory for multi-SKU, high-growth brands
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into action
Experience working within ERP and inventory management systems
Highly organized, detail-driven, and proactive problem solver
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
Consumer goods, beauty, wellness, or retail supply chain experience
Experience supporting new product launches and rapid SKU expansion
Advanced Excel / forecasting tools experience
Understanding of global manufacturing and logistics
ERP experience required.
