The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is responsible for overall project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction. You will work closely with leadership, field teams, clients, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered at the highest level.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong relationships across all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Take ownership of budget, schedule, quality, and client relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Oversee project strategy, planning, and execution

Preconstruction

  • Participate in estimating, budgeting, and value engineering
  • Review drawings, specifications, and constructability
  • Coordinate with design teams and consultants
  • Develop project schedules and logistics plans

Project Execution

  • Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and performance
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Track project costs, budgets, and forecasting
  • Ensure schedule adherence and proactively mitigate risks
  • Maintain high standards of quality control

Team & Field Coordination

  • Work closely with superintendents and field teams
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure clear communication between office and job site

Financial Management

  • Manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, and billing
  • Review and approve invoices and pay applications
  • Monitor profitability and drive cost control


Qualifications

  • 7–12+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects (interiors, TI, or complex builds)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and documentation
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Autodesk, etc.) preferred
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)

Work Environment

  • This is an in-office role based in San Francisco (not remote)
  • Relocation is not an option at this time
  • Regular visits to project sites
