StraCon is seeking a Special Effects Artist/Animator, Journeyman to join our team at NAWCTSD Orlando. The Navy Aviation Warfare Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD, is the Navy’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies. The Special Effects Artist/Animator will work as a member of our Rapid Design, Development and Fabrication (RD2F) Laboratory team to create special effects and animations for modeling and simulation technologies, including traditional simulation and scene graphs, mixed-reality, game-based virtual environments, virtual and augmented realities, (VR, AR).
Experience Requirements:
One (1) Year or more experience with creating special effects or animations using film, video, computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in products, such as computer games, training systems, movies, music videos, and commercials.
Experience with 3D Modeling, Texturing, Digital Sculpting Retopology, 3D Animation, Lighting Hard Surface Texturing.
Experience creating 3D assets while having them Textured and ready to be used in engines such as Unity or Unreal.
Experience with design tools such as: Maya Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Unity Unreal Engine.
Education Requirements:
AA/AS/Certificate/degree in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, or related areas.
OR, Three (3) year practical experience with No degree.
Security Requirements:
Secret Clearance, or ability to attain an interim Secret clearance prior to employment.
