SUMMARY
San Diego FC is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Premium Sales to lead strategic revenue generation across the Club’s premium product portfolio, including suites, premium memberships, and hospitality experiences.
This role is responsible for owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting through long-term account growth, while developing and executing strategies to drive high-value partnerships. The ideal candidate is a proven seller with experience closing complex deals, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
This individual will serve as a leader within the sales organization, contributing to team success through mentorship, best practice sharing, and collaboration with leadership on go-to-market strategy. This role offers significant earning potential tied to performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive significant revenue growth through the sale of premium seating, suites, and hospitality packages, with a focus on high-value and multi-year agreements
- Own and manage a portfolio of premium clients, leading renewal, upsell, and long-term relationship strategies
- Prospect and develop new business through targeted outreach, networking, and strategic account planning across key industries and verticals
- Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, including C-level decision-makers, and position San Diego FC as a long-term partner
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with organizational revenue goals and market opportunities
- Partner with leadership to provide insights on pricing, packaging, and premium product development based on client feedback and market trends
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and service teams to deliver a best-in-class premium experience
- Serve as a mentor and resource to junior sales team members, supporting onboarding, deal strategy, and skill development
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and client data within CRM systems
- Represent San Diego FC at matches, events, and industry functions to build relationships and drive business opportunities
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, executive presence, and a client-first approach in all interactions
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates can meet the qualifications for this role with a combination of education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 6 to 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in sports, hospitality, or B2B environments with a focus on premium or high-value offerings
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and closing high-value deals, including multi-year agreements
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and engaging with senior and executive-level decision-makers
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop sales strategies, manage pipelines, and forecast revenue effectively
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow long-term client relationships that drive retention and expansion
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong executive presence
- Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other sales professionals is preferred
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and events as needed

Compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary plus commission and bonus opportunities. Expected on-target earnings (OTE) exceed $100,000 annually.
