The Opportunity
We're looking for a Sr. Director of Sales who thrives on the hunt. This isn't a role for someone who manages existing accounts from a spreadsheet — it's for a driven, relationship-first sales leader who gets energized by opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals.
You'll own new business development with a sharp focus on the grocery & drug channels, while also leveraging experience in private label sales to expand our retail footprint. You'll report directly to the SVP of Sales and have the autonomy to shape strategy and execute against it.

What You'll Do
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, with a primary focus on the grocery channel
Develop and execute channel-specific sales strategies that drive distribution and volume growth
Leverage private label expertise to identify white-space opportunities and build new business & retailer partnerships
Build and nurture relationships with key buyers, category managers, and retail decision-makers
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, innovation, operations, and finance to bring deals to life
Represent Bil-Jac at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
Provide regular reporting, forecasting, and market intelligence
What We're Looking For
Required:
7+ years of progressive sales experience with demonstrated success in new business development
Deep experience in the grocery & drug channels — you know how it works and have the relationships to prove it
Track record of closing deals and hitting targets in a hunter-oriented sales role
Strong commercial acumen — you can build a business case as well as you can build rapport
Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a remote, independent environment
Strongly Preferred:
Experience in private label sales — understanding retailer economics and building custom programs
Background in the pet industry or adjacent consumer packaged goods categories
Familiarity with the pet specialty, food/drug/mass, or natural channel landscape
