Job Title: Entry-Level Auditor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated entry-level auditor to join our team. This position focuses on performing audit and assurance services for government agencies and not-for-profit organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and performing financial statement audits in accordance with applicable auditing standards
• Perform audit procedures for governmental and not-for-profit entities, including testing of internal controls and substantive testing
• Prepare and document workpapers to support audit conclusions
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or unusual trends
• Communicate effectively with team members and client personnel
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including Government Auditing Standards and Uniform Guidance (as applicable)
• Maintain organized documentation and meet project deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and auditing concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience (not required):

• Internship or prior experience in public accounting
• Exposure to governmental or not-for-profit accounting
