The Supply Chain Analyst acts as a key member of the Purchasing and Planning functions by providing support to analyze, improve, optimize, and report on the performance of Purchasing and Planning. The Supply Chain Analyst is the SAP subject matter expert for the Purchasing and Planning team and the key interface with the Material Master Data team. The Analyst uses his/her skills in SAP/ERP/MRP, SQL, VBA, and predictive and regressive analytical tools to improve all aspects of the team’s performance.
Essential Functions
Performs reporting for Purchasing and Production Planning
Develop best practices for consistent gathering and recording of data
Direct interface with Material Master Data team
Executes the development and implementation of analytical tools for reporting
Gathers and interprets relevant data (productivity, costs, supply patterns, etc.)
Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions with minimal direction
Executes periodic performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders
Provides analytical support for projects, continuous improvement, and cost savings
Collaborates with other supply chain functions and regional partners to share best practices
Supports inventory analytics and optimization
Other duties as required
Qualifications
Education/Training: BS in Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Finance
Experience: Minimum 0-2 years Supply Chain experience with an emphasis on analytics/optimization
Certification: CPIM or CSCP
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Intermediate SAP with knowledge of MRP and master data processes and practices.
