Job Title: Tax Analyst

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Salary: $80,000-$115,000

Company Summary: A global commodities trader is looking to hire a business-critical Tax role to add to its North American operations to support tax and financial reporting functions. The organization facilitates complex trading, logistics and supply chain across international markets, providing structure and resources needed to ensure accurate compliance. This role offers exposure to multi-jurisdictional tax processes within a fast-paced operationally driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support indirect tax compliance by preparing and filing multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax returns in an accurate and timely manner
• Review tax notices and assessments, conduct research and assist with drafting responses and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing tax entries and processing required payments
• Contribute to direct tax processes by gathering data and supporting federal and state tax filing

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in indirect or state and local tax within a public accounting or similar environment
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax compliance
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Exposure to partnership or income tax is a plus
