Tax Associate

Our client is a registered investment advisor. They seek a Tax Associate to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Draft federal and state individual, trust, and entity income tax returns, including related schedules
• Compile and reconcile tax data from financial reports, brokerage statements, Schedule K-1s, and custodial tax packages
• Support quarterly estimated tax calculations and safe harbor projections for individuals, trusts, and entities
• Monitor tax calendars and filing deadlines to track deliverables
• Utilize the firm’s tax preparation software and internal portfolio accounting systems
• Execute additional duties and plan projects as required to support clients and the team

Requirements

• 1-2 years of tax experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• HNW, partnership, and tax compliance experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Tax planning and structuring knowledge
• CPA or parts passed is preferred
