We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Los Angeles office is looking for a Trial Department Assistant to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of all pre-trial and post-trial documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer process.

Compensation Range
$26.00-$31.00/hour (DOE)
Responsibilities
Preparing cases for trial including but not limited to preparing case summaries, reviewing discovery and gathering evidence
Add trial dates to ProLaw and calendar
Communicate with and respond to clients and courts via email and phone
E-Filing documents
Follow up with clients regarding stipulation compliance
Maintain communication with attorneys regarding upcoming court cases
Contact clients prior to trial to confirm dates, times, and court locations
Make calls to court to follow up on matters
Process trial results and update ProLaw
Manage attorney’s calendars for court and trial dates
Ability to travel between our office and the courthouse up to four days per week
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
2+ years of legal or law firm experience
Ability to manage a high-volume workload
Ability to multi-task and complete work in a timely and efficient manner
Experience with e-filing
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and PDF editor
The Following Qualifications Are Preferred
Formal legal training and/or trial experience
Essential Forms and ProLaw efficiency
Knowledge of unlawful detainers and local county court rules and procedures
Schedule
Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.
The primary responsibilities of this position require that the work be performed at the office full-time. We are not considering remote candidates at this time.
