Vice President of Finance - Onsite 3x/wk in El Segundo
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Vice President of Finance to lead all aspects of financial management for our growing consumer product goods brand. This individual will oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and reporting, ensuring the company’s financial health and scalability as it continues to expand. The ideal candidate has deep consumer products experience, an analytical mindset, and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial operations, including FP&A, accounting, treasury, and compliance.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
Develop and manage company-wide budgets, forecasts, and financial models that inform strategic decision-making and operational planning.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to establish short- and long-term financial goals and drive profitable growth.
Provide financial insights and recommendations on pricing, margin analysis, demand planning, inventory management, and channel profitability.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, investors, and auditors.
Manage and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Implement and optimize systems, tools, and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial operations.
Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and working capital optimization to support the business’s growth trajectory.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align financial strategy with business performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role within consumer goods, retail, or CPG.
Proven expertise across both FP&A and full-cycle accounting, with a strong command of GAAP.
Experience scaling a finance function in a high-growth environment.
Strong systems orientation (NetSuite, ERP, or similar) and proficiency with financial modeling tools.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the executive and Board levels.
Collaborative leadership style and a hands-on approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
