We have an incredible opportunity for a VP HR in NYC. This can be a hybrid role (4 days in office). This position will report to the CEO.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Oversees the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves problems.
Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Provides leadership for performance evaluation.
Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Manages the development and maintenance of the Human Resources sections of both the company website, particularly recruiting, culture, and company information.
Coordinates all Human Resources training programs and assigns the authority/responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs. Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.
Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Interviews management and executive position candidates; serves as part of the interview team for position finalists.
Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
Provides Engagement opportunities for the company.
Facilitates Benefits administration regarding open enrollment and general benefit concerns.
Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues and conducts investigations as required or directed from leadership.
Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
Primary Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
15 years+ experience in Human Resources
Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies.
Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees.
Must be able to handle workforce across the U.S.
HR Generalist background preferred
Paylocity experience preferred
Must be able to commute to NYC office and travel as required
