Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead our global accounting function and prepare the company for a successful transition to a public company environment. This role will be instrumental in building scalable processes, ensuring technical accounting compliance, and establishing a robust internal control framework, including SOX readiness.

The ideal candidate is a strategic yet detail-oriented leader with deep expertise in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and financial operations within high-growth, pre-IPO or public companies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and scalability
• Lead preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures

SEC Reporting & IPO Readiness

• Lead all aspects of SEC reporting, including preparation of S-1, 10-K, and 10-Q filings
• Partner with external auditors, legal counsel, and investment bankers throughout the IPO process
• Ensure readiness for public company reporting requirements and timelines

SOX & Internal Controls

• Design, implement, and maintain a SOX-compliant internal control environment
• Build and document key processes and controls across the organization
• Partner with internal and external auditors to support SOX testing and compliance

ERP & Systems

• Own and optimize the NetSuite ERP environment, including system controls and reporting capabilities
• Drive automation and system enhancements to support growth and public company requirements

Team Leadership

• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting organization
• Oversee general ledger, technical accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting teams
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence

Technical Accounting

• Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and acquisitions
• Ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Operations to support strategic initiatives
• Support Board and Audit Committee reporting and materials

Qualifications

• CPA required
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
• Proven experience leading general ledger and SEC reporting functions
• Strong background in pre-IPO and/or public company environments
• Demonstrated experience building and managing SOX compliance frameworks
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with NetSuite ERP strongly preferred
• Big 4 public accounting background preferred
