VP of Manufacturing – Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a VP of Manufacturing, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This senior executive position is ideal for a seasoned operational leader with a proven track record of scaling complex, high-tech manufacturing and engineering organizations, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or energy sectors.
You will be responsible for translating Hadron’s strategic vision into operational reality. You will lead the development of our advanced manufacturing capabilities, global supply chain, and quality assurance (NQA-1) programs. This role is critical for building the operational backbone required to move our micro modular reactor from prototype to full-scale, factory-based production, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skillsets
Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Business Administration, or a related field
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, and supply chain management in a capital-intensive, high-tech industry
Demonstrated experience scaling advanced manufacturing operations from R&D/prototype to full-scale production
Deep expertise in implementing and managing rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) programs, such as NQA-1, AS9100, or ISO 9001
Proven ability to build and manage a complex, global supply chain for high-specification components
Strong leadership and experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement
Experience with facility design, commissioning, and operational readiness
Excellent financial acumen, with experience managing large operational budgets and P&L responsibility
Familiarity with nuclear technology or the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) is a major plus
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Passion for clean energy and a startup-minded approach to problem-solving
