Who We Are

Founded and headquartered in California, Feit Electric is a leading global lighting and smart home brand with over 45 years of industry experience. Through innovative design, strong supplier partnerships, and disciplined supply chain execution, Feit Electric delivers reliable lighting solutions to customers nationwide.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Vice President of Sales to own and lead our entire sales department from strategy to execution. This is a senior leadership role, not an individual contributor position. You will set the direction, build and develop the team that executes it, and be accountable for the full revenue number across retail, ecommerce, and new channels.

This is a growth role on a defined plan. We are launching in Canada, scaling ecommerce, opening commercial distribution channels, and expanding our brand portfolio into accounts that do not carry all of our brands yet. If you are energized by building and leading high-performing teams, obsessed with operational excellence, and know how to drive results through others, this is your role.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing sales department of 30+ employees spanning inside sales, account management, customer service, logistics, and distribution. Results are delivered through your team, not around them.
  • Set the direction, define the priorities, and ensure your managers and account leads have the coaching, tools, and clarity to execute.
  • Attract and recruit top talent at every level. Develop the people you have and bring in the people you need.
  • Build a genuine succession plan: identify high-potential team members, close development gaps, and ensure no coverage risk as the organization scales and tenured managers retire.
  • Set clear, measurable performance goals and create a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.

Key Account Management

  • Own the executive-level relationships with our major retail partners across hardware, home improvement, grocery, and big box channels. Your team manages the day-to-day; you set the relationship strategy and show up where it counts.
  • Lead annual vendor negotiations, product line reviews, and joint business planning across our four-brand portfolio (Feit Electric, Cree, LIFX, and USI).
  • Ensure your account managers are equipped with the right tools, data, and direction to execute promotional programs, QBRs, and retail plans with excellence.
  • Identify and pursue new account opportunities, developing the business case and ensuring your team is ready to execute the launch.

Ecommerce and Digital Channels

  • Own the ecommerce P&L across Amazon and digital marketplaces. This channel is significantly underdeveloped and is a top strategic priority.
  • Hire, build, and lead a dedicated ecommerce team. The Director of Ecommerce is the highest-leverage hire in year one and reports into this role.
  • Set the strategy for brand architecture, SKU differentiation, and marketplace expansion in partnership with the Chief Strategy Officer.
  • Ensure the ecommerce team has the resources, direction, and accountability to grow the channel while protecting retail partner relationships.

Commercial Channel Development

  • Define Feit's entry strategy into light commercial and electrical distribution, a channel already generating meaningful pull-through with no dedicated resources behind it.
  • Present a build vs. partner vs. acquire recommendation to the CEO and build the team to execute once the strategy is set.
  • Hire a Director of Commercial Sales to own this channel day-to-day as the business scales.

Revenue and Operations Strategy

  • Own the full revenue number and the operating framework the team uses to deliver it, from forecasting and channel planning to order management and market execution.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities across the business and ensure the team has what it needs to course-correct quickly.
  • Serve as the senior bridge between Sales, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Operations, ensuring alignment on forecasts, inventory, pricing, and KPIs.

AI-Augmented Sales Process

  • Lead the adoption of AI tools across the sales organization. We use AI in forecasting, account analytics, reporting, and workflow automation and expect the VP of Sales to set the standard.
  • Partner with IT leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that reduce manual work and allow the team to focus on customer development and growth.
  • Build a culture where decisions are driven by data and the team has the tools and training to operate that way.

Data, Technology and Process Improvement

  • Champion a data-first culture by leveraging POS analytics, customer scorecards, and market insights to drive smarter, faster decisions.
  • Monitor real-time customer metrics including POS sales vs. forecasts, on-time delivery rates, chargebacks, and compliance fines.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions in partnership with IT to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and improve operational efficiency across the department.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive sales operations or sales management experience, including 3+ years leading teams of 30 or more.
  • Deep experience managing key accounts with major hardware, grocery, and big box retailers. You know how these channels work and what they expect.
  • Proven track record in consumer packaged goods (CPG). You understand the retail landscape, buyer relationships, and the metrics that matter.
  • Ecommerce fluency including Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, marketplace strategy, and DTC. This is not a nice-to-have.
  • Multi-brand management experience navigating channel conflict, SKU architecture, and brand positioning across a portfolio.
  • International experience or demonstrated ability to build in new geographies.
  • Commercial or B2B distribution channel experience. Electrical distribution, MRO, or pro contractor channels are a strong plus.
  • AI-forward operator who actively uses AI tools in daily work and is comfortable leading a team through adoption.
  • Strong analytical chops. Fluent in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and comfortable building and presenting data-driven business cases.
  • Builder mentality with a track record of developing people and building succession, not just managing headcount.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter who can rally a room whether it is a team of 30 or a C-suite buyer meeting.
  • Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities without losing momentum.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with CRM or retail analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or equivalent experience a plus.

Why Join Us

  • Lead a large, established team with real ownership and influence, reporting directly to the CEO.
  • Work with marquee retail accounts across some of the most competitive and exciting CPG channels.
  • Be part of an aggressive growth plan with ecommerce, international, and commercial channel opportunities already in motion.
  • Competitive compensation with uncapped performance bonus potential. When Feit wins, you win.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced, family-owned environment where your ideas get heard and your results get recognized.

What You'll Get

  • A competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
  • Salary range: $200,000 to $300,000 annual salary (exempt), based on experience.
  • Uncapped performance bonus tied to annual revenue attainment.
