The VP of Business Operations will lead and optimize global business operations, including sales operations, logistics, compliance, and cross-functional execution. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, scalability, and profitability across all regions. Acting as a strategic partner to the executive team, the VP will ensure alignment between operational processes and business objectives.

We are seeking a highly driven, strategic VP of Business Operations to lead and optimize global business operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Global Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day business operations across multiple geographies and drive operational efficiency through process standardization and automation. Own the company-wide operating cadence, including OKRs, annual planning, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), forecast reviews, and operational dashboards. Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Engineering, and Finance to ensure alignment across strategic initiatives.
  • Sales Operations and Go to Market Operations: Partner with Sales and Finance leadership to optimize forecasting, pipeline management, pipeline health, territory design, compensation governance, and sales process optimization; implement KPIs and dashboards for performance tracking. Ensure operational readiness for new product launches, pricing changes, and channel programs.
  • Operational Enablement for Customer Lifecycle: Support Customer Success and Support teams with playbooks, workflows, escalation paths, and capacity models. Improve renewals and reduce churn by operationalizing best practices across the customer journey. Oversee the operational framework for enterprise customer onboarding, especially for multi-site, multi-camera, or hybrid cloud deployments commonly seen in physical security.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: Manage global logistics strategy, ensuring timely delivery and cost optimization; oversee vendor relationships and compliance with international trade regulations
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO, export controls, etc.); work with Finance leadership to develop and maintain internal controls for financial and operational compliance
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with executive leadership on annual operating plans and resource allocation; lead cross-functional initiatives to support growth and scalability. Serve as a close advisor to the CEO, VP Finance, VP Sales, Marketing and R&D on strategy and execution. Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing business operations team; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred)


Experience:

  • 10–15+ years’ experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or physical security technology, with at least 5 years in senior operational leadership
  • Background working with integrators, VARs, and channel partners in the physical security ecosystem. Strong network of industry relationships (end-users, integrators, consultants, technology vendors)
  • Experience supporting operations for products used in mission-critical environments (e.g., enterprise campuses, hospitals, retail loss prevention, government, transportation)
  • Experience building or optimizing cross-functional operating rhythms: QBRs, OKRs, forecasting cycles, data dashboards, and organizational KPIs
  • Ability to design and execute scalable processes across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, and Product
  • Deep experience with budget planning, resource modeling, and profitability management
  • Hands-on experience managing SaaS metrics: ARR, renewal/churn, CAC payback, NRR/GRR, pipeline coverage, and revenue forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of contract structures in the security industry (per-device licensing, per-site subscriptions, enterprise agreements, cloud consumption models)
  • Experience improving customer satisfaction and reducing churn in environments with software deployments, system integrations, and field-based service needs
  • Ability to work with engineering and product to align roadmap planning, backlog priorities, and customer-impact metrics
  • Expertise implementing or optimizing CRM, ERP, ticketing, and telemetry systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot, Zendesk, Jira, Gainsight, Looker, PowerBI)
  • Experience building KPIs and analytics dashboards that drive data-backed decision-making across the business
  • Track record building operational frameworks for global expansion, partner programs, and onboarding of VARs/integrators
  • Strong history of partnering with C-Suite stakeholders (CEO, CRO, CTO, CFO) to shape company strategy and execution
  • Excellent communication skills oriented towards executive-level reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and board-facing summaries


Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of the physical security technology stack (access control, VMS, intrusion detection, identity management, LPR, Facial Recognition, Fire detection, IoT sensors).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with C-suite and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop long-term, trust-based client relationships and navigate complex procurement cycles.
  • Experience with federal/state/local government contracting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
