VP/Director of Finance

My client, a highly prestigious nonprofit organization with a rich history rooted in New York City, is looking to expand their team! The Executive Director is seeking a new Director of Finance to play a pivotal role in driving the organization forward and ensuring financial excellence.

📌 About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a highly competitive salary and full benefits—NOT a temp or temp-to-perm opportunity. This is your chance to step into a leadership role with one of NYC's most respected nonprofit organizations.

They are located in NYC, they are in the office 5 days.

Compensation is based on experience:

The Director of Finance is between $150 - $175k base 

The role will cover:

• Prepare and present to the Executive Team and Board
• Manage the budgeting and planning
• Manage the General Ledger, month end close, financial statement preparation
• Manage AP/AR
• Manage their donation and tuition funding
• Manage HR and Payroll

Who are you?

• They are open to candidates out of the For Profit and Non For Profit sector
• MBA or CPA is a +
• A minimum of a BA/BS in accounting from a top accredited school
• 7+ years of experience. 

Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial. He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
