About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take full ownership of our Brooklyn-based warehouse and transportation operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational discipline, implementing system-driven processes, and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

1. Operational Management & Discipline

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and a small fleet/driver team.
  • Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
  • Schedule and manage warehouse staff and drivers.
  • Lead all inventory control processes, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • Manage transportation logistics, routing, and carrier relationships.

2. KPI-Driven Accountability

  • Design and implement KPIs covering warehouse and transportation performance.
  • Build daily/weekly/monthly dashboards to measure productivity and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable to performance standards.

3. Systems & Process Transformation

  • Help transition operations from manual/visual tools (whiteboards, clipboards) to system-based workflows.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch.
  • Drive best practices and modernize the operational discipline of the facility.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, train, and schedule warehouse associates and drivers.
  • Foster a culture rooted in professionalism, safety, accountability, and team ownership.
  • Identify training gaps and build a high-performing team.

5. Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage operational budgets and monitor labor, freight, and other cost drivers.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels.
  • Ensure efficient use of space, equipment, and personnel.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years warehouse & transportation management experience (distribution, 3PL, or military preferred).
  • Strong leadership with the ability to set standards and hold teams accountable.
  • Demonstrated use of ERP/WMS systems to manage warehouse operations.
  • Track record of designing & managing KPIs that drove measurable results.
  • Experience with routing, DOT compliance, and carrier management.
  • Someone who thrives in building structure, driving discipline, and transforming operations.
  • A hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the team when needed.
  • A systems-thinker who understands how the entire warehouse-to-delivery flow works — and how to optimize it.
