Working within established guidelines, this position is responsible for directing the warehouse function and operation. This position directs departmental employees, lead and schedule activities based on shipping schedule, guarantee the accurate movements of products and materials and maintaining the warehouse housekeeping activities, aligned with the operation and the manager’s directions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directs warehouse personnel, scheduling manpower levels and department work schedules, aligned with the operation needs as well as with the Warehouse Manager, as well as support when needed.
Monitors material movement, storage, inventory levels and shipments, making sure the movements are also reflected in the system correctly.
Coordinates and communicates activity between oncoming shifts to ensure smooth transition of duties.
Communicates all personnel & safety issues with the Supervisor and assists with follow up.
Monitor shipment accuracy tracking over/under shipments, making sure is it properly documented. As well as validating the quality of the product during while preparing and loading process, following processes, procedures, good practices.
Report, research and correct shipment discrepancies.
Train departmental personnel in warehouse procedures. Ensures safe operations with the Department including but not limited to Infrastructure, equipment, Product.
May be expected to act on behalf of the manager in his/her absence.
Follow and participate in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment
Coordinate and execute warehouse organization efforts, follow SQF standards, by ensuring daily SQF Sanitation Activities are completed and documented.
Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory processes
Monday- Friday with Occasional Weekends- 7:00 am to 3:00 pm- 12 hour shifts

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience and successful completion of Material Handler I, Material Attendant I, Material Handler III skills assessments.
