The only thing in life that's constant is change. I know you've heard this before, but just because you've heard it doesn't mean you're prepared for it. I hate to break the news to you. If you don't have a process in place to deal with change when it inevitably occurs, you're in no better position than someone who didn't realize it was going to happen in the first place. In procurement management and project management in general, things change. This is why it's important to set up a contract change control system. It's the only way to modify a contract once it's been agreed upon and signed by all parties. So what exactly is a contract change control system? It's a process for collecting, analyzing, tracking, and communicating changes, both approved and denied to the contract.
