AI is everywhere - on every page, in every boardroom pitch, and across every trend report. But as any seasoned leader and practitioners know, what creates a lasting competitive edge is not the technology buzzword of the moment. It is having an operating model that empowers smart choices, no matter what tool is in play. Today, I want to challenge the status quo: It is not “AI-powered strategy” that drives transformation. It is strategy-powered architecture - built through proven Enterprise Architecture (EACOE) and Business Architecture (BACOE). THE HYPE TRAP: AI IS NOT A STRATEGY Businesses are drowning in “AI-washing” - vendors relabeling yesterday’s features as tomorrow’s magic. But adding AI into your enterprise architecture or business architecture does not deliver clarity, agility, or measurable value. Too many organizations fall for buzzwords, then wonder why their investments fail to move the needle. The lesson? Real advantage comes from Frameworks and methodologies that prioritize business outcomes, not technology headlines. AI is already making big shifts in the way that Enterprise Architecture is modeled and applied. AI-powered tools are not only automating tasks, but changing the very rhythm of collaboration, analysis, and decision-making that Enterprise Architecture supports. And yet, we are still in the process of making meaningful improvements as architects and non-technical stakeholders adopt and optimize their use of AI. 👉 Read more in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/dNuMusYR #EnterpriseArchitecture #AIinEnterpriseArchitecture

At AI One, we believe the future of enterprise AI will be defined by how well organizations manage their context. Our Chief AI Officer, Mark Sykes, explores this idea in a new piece on our Substack. He introduces the 𝗔𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿, a model that describes the layers of context and how to design and govern these layers to shape how AI acts inside your enterprise. This framework shows why context management is not just better prompting, but a key element of your business architecture. When I start an AI solution, I always follow a structured framework 👇 1️⃣ Understand the business context 2️⃣ Assess data maturity 3️⃣ Define measurable outcomes 4️⃣ Select fit-for-purpose models 5️⃣ Focus on adoption and scalability It’s never just about what you build — it’s how you build it to last. #AISolutions #Architecture #TechStrategy #AIEngineering

It was a pleasure to host a Enterprise Arichitect Sydney lunch today of behalf of Box Our lead Gavin Diamond started the conversation with… “Designing Future-State Architectures with Intelligent Content + AI to Unlock the power of all Unstructured Content.” This exclusive roundtable lunch for enterprise architects exploring what’s next for content, AI, and the digital foundations of the enterprise. Enterprise architects are being asked to design the future state of business technology in an era defined by AI. But with sprawling content, legacy foundations, and rising demands for governance, what does a truly intelligent architecture look like? We shall explore the art of the possible in enterprise architecture: Blueprints for the AI era – designing scalable, intelligent, and secure architectures. Content as a core architectural layer – how intelligent content management simplifies integration and accelerates modernisation. Peer insights – how other enterprise architects are approaching AI adoption, governance, and change. Future-state frameworks – envisioning architectures that unlock innovation without compromising control. #architect #itleaders #lunchandlearn #roundtable #access #networking Tom Bailey
