GO TO MARKET | UNDERSTANDING NEEDS. CREATING VALUE. Every customer has their own challenges, channels, markets and consumers. At Bergner Europe, we start by understanding them so we can build a solution tailored to each business. This understanding is underpinned by market analysis, category expertise and consumer insights, enabling us to identify opportunities and anticipate needs. From there, we bring together different capabilities: category management, promotions, loyalty programmes, digital, shop-in-shop and bespoke solutions, selecting the right approach for each project. We then turn these solutions into action by connecting product, marketing, communications, operations and logistics, from defining the proposal through to its implementation in the market. A 360° Go to Market model designed to turn specific needs into specific solutions and create value for our customers. #BergnerEurope #GoToMarket #Retail #CustomerExperience #BusinessSolutions #CategoryManagement

New brands often set goals based on how quickly they can "land" distribution into a large retail chain without understanding the dynamics of each type of retailer and the economic impacts of choosing retail partners wisely or poorly. This guide provides an overview of each retailer type, it's customer focus, and how expensive it is to do business there. Getting into Spanish retail is not just about having a good product. It is about finding the right fit. Most brands do not realise this until they have spent months pitching to the wrong retailers. The product may be strong, but if the retailer, category timing, consumer demand and commercial structure do not align, the conversation becomes much harder than it needs to be. Selltinel does not take every brand to every buyer. That creates noise, and buyers do not need more noise. We look for alignment first. What is the consumer asking for? Which categories are moving? What gaps exist in the market? What are retailers actively looking to build next? When the brand, retailer, category moment and consumer demand align, the conversation changes. It moves faster because you are not forcing the market. You are meeting it where it is already going. The wrong brand in the right retailer can still fail. The right brand, in the right retailer, at the right time and with the right support, has a much better chance of winning. #selltinel #marketconnection #alignedgrowth #retailstrategy #categorymoment

Brands that win in Spanish retail have several things in common. The teams work in alignment. Everybody knows the strategy, the goals and who is accountable for what. Information flows constantly, buyers know what is happening, retailers know what to expect, and nothing gets stuck in silence. The processes are connected. Listing day connects to week-three execution, promotional planning connects to sell-out tracking, everything feeds back into strategy adjustment. The decisions are made based on real sell-out data, not guesstimates and internal assumptions. 📊 Think about it: a brand enters Spain and the marketing team is running one strategy while the commercial team on the ground is managing something completely different. Information gets stuck between departments, processes run independently, and decisions get made without real market data backing them up. Result? Listing, weak velocity, de-listing. A brand that wins Spanish retail has every part working together, from retailers to buyers to strategy team, with every decision grounded in real sell-out performance. Most launch-channel debates start one question too early. Marketplace, distributor, retailer or direct-to-consumer? Before choosing, identify what makes the first purchase uncertain. A channel can provide access. It cannot, by itself, make the offer easy to buy. Run four questions first: 1. Can the product be sold as designed, or do labels, claims, certification, tax or data requirements change the offer? 2. Can the intended customer discover and compare it through channels the team can actually operate? 3. What proof does that customer trust before trying an unfamiliar brand? 4. Can pricing, delivery, returns and service support the promise after the order? The answers turn a broad channel debate into a constraint map: rule, reach, trust or fulfilment. Only then can a team choose a channel for the job it must do—and define the smallest test that could disprove the plan. At Terra Vista, we connect cultural context, local trust, compliance and execution before recommending a market-entry path. We work on a neutral service-fee basis; the objective is a workable route, not inventory movement. Save this sequence for the next launch meeting that jumps straight to “Which channel?” #MarketEntry #GoToMarket #InternationalGrowth #CustomerExperience

In retail, having a great product is only the beginning. You can have a strong brand, an excellent product, and a well-executed campaign — and still miss the opportunity to drive sales. Because real retail success happens when everything works together: Product, pricing, distribution, visibility, customer experience, and marketing. One thing I’ve learned through working across brand and retail is that getting a product onto the shelf is not the goal. The goal is to make it noticed, understood, chosen — and ultimately repurchased. That’s where the real value of retail marketing comes in. #RetailMarketing #BrandManagement #Retail #BusinessGrowth

What recently stood out to me is that the commercial opportunities are there. Companies are increasingly diversifying and strengthening their brand portfolios, creating more openness for new brands, products and commercial partnerships. Young, new and innovative brands are in demand. Supply and demand are increasingly coming into balance. So where are the biggest challenges in realizing the commercial opportunity? Here are a few insights for brands looking to expand: ✦ Looking for a Multi-Brand Store? Make sure your product feels premium, your marketing material is clear and your visual identity is instantly recognizable. ✦ Looking for E-Commerce? Customer trust, an established customer base and an efficient supply chain matter. E-commerce is built around traffic, traction, volume and operational efficiency. ✦ Looking for a Distributor? Products with clear, everyday consumer relevance have a natural advantage. The easier the product is to understand, position and sell, the easier it becomes to scale through the right distribution partner. Across all three opportunities, one element remains important: Investment. Partners want to see that a brand is prepared to invest in its own growth, visibility and market development. When the fundamental requirements are in place, it becomes much easier for both parties to turn the opportunity into commercial growth. I am always open to welcoming distinctive brands with strong ambition and supporting them in realizing the right match for growth. Romee’s GTM Notes | #007 A Partnership Is Not a Logo Placement. It’s a Joint GTM Strategy. Getting listed at a major retailer often feels like the finish line. In reality, it's just the starting point. A partnership becomes valuable not because two logos appear together, but because both sides are working toward the same outcome. The retailer brings customer trust, traffic, and local reach. The brand brings product innovation, expertise, and experiences worth sharing. Neither creates the full value alone. The real opportunity happens when both sides design the customer journey together—from discovery, to in-store experience, to sell-through. That's why the best retail partnerships are never just about getting products on the shelf. They're about building a GTM strategy that both teams can execute together. A shelf creates availability. A joint GTM strategy creates demand. Partnerships don't grow because products are stocked. They grow because both sides create value together. #GTM #B2BMarketing #PartnerMarketing #RetailStrategy

A strong reminder that go-to-market is not just the launch plan. The real work is carrying the original customer need through category, channel, product and execution without losing it along the way.
