THE RIGHT MATERIAL FOR EVERY PURPOSE Product innovation also means knowing how to choose the right material for every purpose. At Bergner Europe, our multi-material capability allows us to work with aluminium, stainless steel, multi-layer constructions, glass, wood, textiles and other materials, selecting each one according to the product, its performance, durability and intended use. Today, this also means responsible innovation: optimising materials, extending product life and moving towards more circular models. The use of PFAS-free solutions, recycled stainless steel, recycled aluminium and FSC®-certified wood are examples of this approach. Because innovation is about finding the right balance between material, design, functionality, durability and responsibility. Multi-brand. Multi-category. Multi-material. Different solutions for different purposes. #BergnerEurope #MultiMaterial #ProductInnovation #EcoDesign #CircularEconomy

Every material we use is a conscious choice. This isn’t just a slogan, it’s the guiding principle behind the design of every chair we’ve created for over 145 years. Our wood comes from FSC-certified European forests, where every tree that is harvested is part of a managed reforestation cycle. Our steel frames feature eco-chrome finishes with a low environmental impact. The polyolefin resin shells are designed to be recycled at the end of their life cycle. The fabrics we choose (Kvadrat, Gabriel, Fidivi) meet the highest standards of textile sustainability. The paints are water-based and low-VOC: they protect the surface and the air around those who work. At our Manzano plant, we’ve installed a large solar power system and LED lighting throughout the production area. Wood scraps are reclaimed, not discarded. Even packaging is part of our approach: we continuously optimize stacking density to pack more chairs per shipment, reduce the number of packages, and cut down on road transport. Verifiable sustainability, not just claims. #Fornasarig #ContractDesign #ItalianDesign #Sustainable

Every year, A1 Rubber processes around 9,000 tonnes of recycled rubber at our Australian manufacturing facility. It starts with end-of-life car and truck tyres the ones that would otherwise join the more than 50 million tyres Australia discards every year. We take the rubber they contain, recycle it, and turn it into products used across the built environment. Commercial flooring. Acoustic underlays. Sporting surfaces. Playground applications. That's not a small number. And it's not a side project. For architects, designers, builders, developers and government specifiers, there's something worth sitting with here. The materials we specify don't just build spaces they create demand for resources. When those resources are Australian recycled rubber rather than virgin material, circular economy principles stop being a policy objective and start being a line item on a specification sheet. Australian waste. Australian manufacturing. A useful product with another life ahead of it. If that's relevant to how you're thinking about your next project, we would welcome a conversation. Connect or send a message to the A1 sales team at sales@a1rubber.com. #CircularEconomy #AustralianManufacturing #SustainableConstruction #BuiltEnvironment #RecycledMaterials #Architecture #Specification #A1Rubber

🌱 Smarter design from the inside out We’ve enhanced our co‑extrusion process, allowing us to incorporate increased levels of recycled PVC‑U within the internal core of our ECOSlide® window profiles. Encapsulated by a high‑performance outer layer, this improvement enables more efficient material use while maintaining the quality, durability and finish our windows are known for. It’s a small change in our process that delivers a sustainable and high-quality product for our customers. #Sustainability #Manufacturing #ECOSlide #Innovation

We’re advancing textile laminating technology for stronger, more durable, and scalable products. Not as an incremental tweak, but as a structural improvement that pays off over the full product lifecycle. ✅ 📌 Laminating combines materials in a way that enhances performance without compromising flexibility or design freedom. The result is controlled bonding, consistent quality, and surfaces engineered for specific functions such as protection, insulation, or stability. This is where reliability replaces improvisation. 📌 Sustainable by design means more than choosing the right materials. It means efficient processes, reduced waste, and constructions that last longer and fail later. Laminating allows precise layer control, fewer resources per unit, and products built for real-world stress, not just lab conditions. 🎯 Let’s elevate your portfolio with textile solutions that hold up over time.
